Computer control system
Smart. Exact. Technology.
This Topcon system has been established from decades of experience worldwide.
It gives quick, exact control and monitoring through an easy to use interface. It provides accurate technology for the application of most types of fert and manure.
This computer control system gives the precise rate of application, regardless of differences in acceleration or fertiliser density.
It is straight-forward and very practical to use. The technology is also ISOBUS. Which means it plugs in directly to any ISOBUS tractor console. Alternatively we can include a large, 8 1/2” colour touch-screen.
By also including the fully integrated load weigh scales, the Athene system will give you dynamic rate control. Meaning the weight of product in the bin is constantly measured, checking your spread rate accuracy and adjusting on the go to achieve desired rates.
Your options for set-up:
A) Topcon including display screen & GPS aerial but no load cells
This can be used as a rate controller. By entering a known product density or by selecting the product from a pre-defined list. Spreader functions such as spinner speed and border control are all monitored and operated through the touch screen. This is volumetric rate control only.
Every Topcon Spreader is made load cell ready should you wish to upgrade in the future.
B) Topcon using tractors own display screen (ISOBUS) with load cells
This measures weight of product inside the spreader, the floor speed is then automatically adjusted to achieve correct application rates. This advanced control means extra precision and less wastage. You are getting automatic rate calibration. Advanced mapping proof of placement is dependant on the brand of display in your tractor. This set-up operates with both dynamic and static rate control.
C) Topcon including display screen, GPS aerial & load cells
This option includes a separate large, 8.5” colour touch screen display and GPS aerial for proof of placement, light bar and field mapping of your jobs. Record all of your details for improved traceability and record keeping. This set-up operates with both dynamic and static rate control. It is ISOBUS ready.
80 - 90 litres per minute of oil flow from your tractor is preferred. An inline oil filter is also recommended on all Topcon Spreaders.
This brochure has a simple tick chart explaining in more depth what is included with each set-up.
The 8 1/2” touch-screen can be included. It is large, full-colour and anti-glare.
Weigh scales can be integrated
By integrating load cells, the system automatically calibrates the weight of fert in the bin. The floor then speeds up or slows down to meet the application rates requested. An optional extra.
The simple interface has a very straight-forward operation. Being an ISOBUS ICU, it connects directly in to many tractors.
Control for spinner speed
You have an excellent view of what your spinners are doing. You can see when your spinners are static, when they start up and the speed they are rotating at.
This functionality shows where you have driven on your farm. The Light bar allows you to stay on track using your AB lines. Both means you are able to get the most out of your coverage.
Download your proof of placement data and enhance your reporting, accuracy and peace of mind.
The spinner speed on the left hand disc is slowed shortening spread width. Important for spreading at borders and beside waterways.
- For proof of placement add a GPS aerial
- Large 8 1/2” screen
- Scales for weighing
For proof of placement add a GPS aerial
You can include a GPS arial for proof of placement. Light bar and field mapping of each job is also included with this addition. Traceability is easy. The addition of an aerial means you can keep all the records you need for documenting your inputs.
If you have an existing aerial this may also be compatible.
Large 8 1/2” screen
You may like to run the system directly through your tractor’s screen in the cab (if it is ISOBUS).
Or you can choose to go for the X-25 Athene touch screen. It is very easy to operate on-the-go. This is generous in size and anti-glare.
Scales for weighing
The majority of computer controlled spreaders have weigh scales added. They are fully integrated. This addition means the actual weight of fertiliser in the bin is consistently weighed on-the-go. Then fed back into the system to automatically calibrate rates regardless of forward speed.
- Interface ISOBUS
